We are super happy that a bunch of bikes have shipped to little riders!  However, we are running behind our projected number of bikes shipping per day.  Part of this delay is that we are making sure each bike is the best it can be before it leaves our shop, which is taking a little longer than initially anticipated.  

 

In an effort to get bikes out, we have been working long hours and still trying to be parents ourselves.  The good news is that we have hired additional help.  Things will get faster as our newbie becomes more efficient...it's not exactly rocket science but it is a pello and we want to make sure your bike is everything you anticipated when it arrives.

 

Orders received this week are estimated to ship in June.

 

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience as I know many of your little ones have been patiently waiting for their new bike to arrive.

Thank you, thank you, thank you again for all your patience while we get our little/big bikes back in stock!!!  

 

We are delighted to let you know that things are progressing smoothly with your bikes and we estimate to begin shipping by 3/17/23! 

 

The big question on everyone's mind is probably when will I receive my bike?  And that is a great question!  We have a pretty significant backlog of bikes to get out from all your wonderful pre-orders.  

 

Once we get rolling we anticipate being able to ship between 5-10 bikes per day.  We will start with order number 3493.  You can use this number to provide an estimate as to when your bike should be shipping to you.  For example, Order number 3521 is estimated to ship between 3-6 days. 

 

Why do you only ship between 5-10 bikes per day, can't you just slap on the shipping label and send it to us?  The main reason for getting 5-10 bikes out per day stems mostly from us going through the pre-ship checklist where we go through each bike and make sure all is good with your bike before it ships.  Similar to what any quality bike shop does when they prep a bike for sale, this includes things like checking brakes, shifting, and several other items related to the bike.  If you or someone you know is comfortable performing these items let us know and we can ship your bike sooner and bypass this process.  Please see the attached checklist of items we perform.  Please note, if we do or you do the pre-checklist you will still need to perform the final assembly of the bike once it arrives.

Message from Shane at Pelllo Bikes: they're almost here!

 

Hi!

 

Thank you soooooooooo much for pre-ordering a new Pello rig!  We are a super small (in fact micro) company which means that every bike you buy really means a lot to us.

 

We have some really good news!  Your new Pello rig is on its way to our shop and they look great. 

 

Now that the bikes are in transit from our partners in Taiwan, there are just a few hurdles we need to clear, namely getting the container through our local port in Norfolk, VA.  Once the container with your bike arrives at the port we will then need to clear customs.  Sometimes this can be super quick and easy and sometimes it can take some extra time; we will keep you posted.

 

Once the bikes arrive at our shop we will begin prepping and shipping bikes in the order they were received.  Before your bike ships out we go through a checklist, similar to what a quality bike shop would do to prep a bike.  Please see below for a checklist of things we do before shipping your bike.  

 

Please note, you will still need to assemble your bike when it arrives.

Pre-Order Update

We hope you and your families are well and having a wonderful spring as we transition out of winter and into warmer days.

 

Our latest news is that our bikes are still waiting for us but the shipping is taking longer than expected.  The current arrival of bikes has now moved to mid June.  We are trying our best to get the bikes to you as soon as possible but it seems that the shipping world has other plans for us at the moment. 

 

We apologize in advance for any missed birthdays or other surprises this delay may have caused.

 

Thank you again for support as we figure out how to get your bikes under your little one and rolling through the neighborhood.
